John Toomay is a Partner with Palomino Capital. He leads Palomino’s transaction execution and advisory engagements with middle-market companies in a variety of industries.

Mr. Toomay is a Partner with Palomino Capital. His career has focused on advising on business strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and capital formation in a variety of industries and stages of development. His extensive expertise in successfully managing complex transactions crosses a broad spectrum of industries, including business services, healthcare, manufacturing, aerospace, and financial services. He has over 19 years of investment banking and corporate finance experience, closing 37 transactions representing $750 million in transaction value.

Mr. Toomay leads the structuring, analysis, and execution of Palomino’s M&A and corporate finance transactions. He works closely with clients to identify strategic options, oversee the preparation of offering materials, and market to and negotiate with financial and strategic buyers.

Prior to joining Palomino, John Toomay was an Associate with Oliver Wyman in New York. He worked on projects in a broad range of industries advising clients on controlling costs, reengineering core processes, and evaluating potential transactions.

John Toomay holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Brown University where he played varsity football. He is an Accredited Valuation Analyst (AVA) with the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. He is a volunteer with the Honor Courage Commitment non-profit organization where he provides mentorship and transition guidance for armed forces veterans returning from overseas deployments.
